It wasn't hard to figure out the highlight of the 2011 Morris County football season -- it came on the night of Dec. 2 at Kean University in Union, when Madison hammered Summit, 47-7, to capture the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 championship.
The showdown of unbeaten teams was played before an overflow crowd of 5,500 and gave Madison its second consecutive 12-0 championship-winning season, while also extending its winning streak to 25 games. read more

Player of the year: Justin Goodwin is an athlete whose actions speak much louder than his words.
The junior running back, defensive back and return man had a spectacular season for a Madison team that went 12-0 and won its second consecutive NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 championship with a 47-7 victory over previously unbeaten Summit in the playoff title game before an overflow crowd of 5,500 on Dec. 2 at Kean University in Union.
Goodwin ended the year with 133 carries for 1,789 yards and 29 touchdowns, eight catches for 238 yards and two TDs and 10 kick returns for 478 yards and three TDs. read more
